摘要

This study was investigating the anti-oxidation ability of microalgae culturing in deep sea water (DSW) and in surface sea water (SSW) by using high performance liquid chromatography HPLC)-DPPH(1,1-diphenyl-2-piryl-hydrazyl) method.(1997)﹝1﹞Some information about the method for evaluation of the free radical scavenging activity of several antioxidant was reported by Tomoko Yamaguch. We determined the anti-oxidation of two kinds of marine algae-Tetraselmis Chu and Isochrysis galbana. It has been report that marine algae contain various biologically active compounds. Deep sea water (from a depth of more than 200 m) has cold temperature, abundant nutrients, and good water quality that is pathogen-free and stable. For these reasons, there are a lot of researches concerning about DSW had been down. Oceans contain a lot of biological organisms, and microalgae are one of the ocean life. Some studies displayed the anti oxidation ability, the anti bacterial function, even the anti cancer effect. Indeed, it is very valuable to develop and mass production in the future. Thus, we want to measure anti-oxidation ability in DSW and SSW, and comparing the ingredients by HPLC-DPPH method. We design the progress as fallowing steps. All sample was extracted with ethanol, water, and hexane. Before injecting our sample into the HPLC machine, we diluted them. The absorbance we chose is 517nm, therefore we got significant data and bear out the influence on different extraction type of microalgae after finish all examination. Tetraselmis Chu has higher anti-oxidation ability than Isochrysis galbana in ethanol extracts. And the aetonitrile extracts also shows good free radical scavenging activity.   Next coming time, we will continue analyze the discrepancy in the two kind of culture methods for them to developing following products.
