摘要
台灣東部海域由於先天地質條件的特殊性而擁有發展深層海洋水產業的絕對優勢， 貴局轄下的花蓮縣附近海岸位處海、陸板塊交接的斜坡邊緣，海岸坡度較陡，向海離岸不遠處即為太平洋的海溝區，水深幾乎都超過1,000公尺，非常適合深層海水的開發與相關產業的進駐，為全台一極具潛力的區域。
The marine of Eastern Taiwan has the advantage of developing deep-searesources by its particular geologic environment.The east part of Taiwan is influenced by the junction of Manila Trench and Ryukyu Trench which are along the western Philippine sea plate.The collision occurs between the Philippine sea plate and Eurasia plate.The slope coast becomes steep due to the plate collision of these two plates.Consequently,this area has high potential and adaptable to develop deep-sea water and related products.
